Our Project. The main objective of laboratory is to prevent sports overuse and trauma injuries in young athletes.

We investigate the shape and volume of the femoral intercondylar notch using MRI. ACL injury mechanism is cutting movement and jump landing due to the non-contact in many cases. In addition, the rate of ACL injury is higher in female athletes than in male athletes. Anatomical risk factors have been reported, such as the femoral intercondylar notch Width and notch volume. Consequently, we thought the identification of the anatomical risk factors can prevent ACL injuries.

We examin a correlation of the humidity and the quantity of sweat. In recent years temperature of the summer rises by global warming, and the incidence of heat stroke increases with it, too. Because Japan is the climate that it is relatively a high temperature, and is high humidity, evaporation of the sweat is restrained, and it is thought that it becomes hard to produce a temperature drop by the evaporation heat. Therefore we think that not only the temperature but also the humidity is related to outbreak of the heat stroke and do this study.

In late years heat of the summer is severe, and the death tolls due to the heat stroke increase in global warming. While it was classified as "heat stroke", it is reported that club activities of the physical education occupy most (Japan Sport Council,2009). Because WBGT and the relations of the weight rate of decline were necessary for heat stroke measures, we investigated the present conditions of club activities.

We investigate of the chilling effect of the body temperature which used evaporation heat now.It is said that prevention and an emergency measure are important for heatstroke, and it is important for it to lower ingestion and body temperature of moisture as an emergency measure. Although there are some which lower body temperature and use evaporation heat in it, still, there is not much literature which has reported it. However, we think that a more effective emergency measure can be done by using evaporation heat.
